Aideen O’ Sullivan is a fully qualified and registered UK and China trained acupuncturist. She has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine since 1995, using a combination of acupuncture, tuina ( bodywork, acupressure and massage), and Chinese dietary therapy.
Aideen has specialised for many years in the treatment of infertility and pregnancy. She has many years experience of helping couples achieve pregnancy, whether that is naturally or with the help of IVF or IUI. Because acupuncture’s focus is on improving the overall wellbeing of the patient rather than the isolated treatment of specific symptoms, treating fertility involves bringing the patient to optimum overall health. So when addressing fertility, accompanying problems such as digestive and circulatory problems (very common problem areas for women who are having difficulty conceiving), tiredness, lower back pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia etc should not be ignored.
Aideen has extensive experience of treating pain such as arthritis, sciatica, sports injuries etc. She is trained in both Tuina and Swedish massage and may incorporate these in your treatment. She also offers acupressure treatment for children and people who have a fear of needles.
Aideen’s special area of interest is the subject of dietary therapy. She works closely with patients in this area, and believes that helping patients to understand how their diet and lifestyle may affect their health can empower them to make significant changes to their health.
Aideen is a member of the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association and she follows strict safety standards. It may be possible to claim back part of the cost of your treatment depending on your health insurance cover.
